As we all know, the City Council voted 5-0 in favor of approving the 2014/15 Annual Budget. There was no real discussion or concern regarding the jobs that were going to be cut as a result. The only discussion regarding those jobs came from Linda Krupa, during the work study the Monday prior to the vote, asking the head of each department facing cuts if it is something they could live with. The only input Smith and Youssef gave was that everyone needed to do more with less, as if our City employees aren't already taking on way more with less. And not only are they taking on way more with less, they are stepping up and assisting other departments when we, the Citizens of Hemet, need them. All of our City Employees are phenomenal and committed to our City. They deserve that same commitment from our council.

Attend City Council Meetings
I would really like to encourage those of you who live, work, socialize or send your children to school in the city limits of Hemet to attend the City Council Meetings. They are the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and generally held at 7 pm. The meeting agendas are posted outside the building of the council chambers and online. I have also heard that you can have them emailed directly to you. The meeting location is 450 East Latham. I hope to see you there!
