If you have an issue with Big Brother looking over your shoulder (like some of our council members) and you have an iPad or tablet or cell that has the ability to take photos and video footage, then you need to do what the French call fermer la bouche.

If you were unaware that the City of Hemet is severely lacking in its efforts of conservation and energy efficiency, then it should be obscenely obvious after the July 22nd City Council meeting.  Not only does this city use an excessive amount of water to maintain landscaping, it uses an excessive amount of money to do it.  The city had yet to find the grants to switch our city library over to solar.  The main expense to run our library is energy costs. The monetary waste that has accumulated because this city has lacked the leadership and forward-thinking has cost this city jobs and threatened our public safety. Had the leadership of this city actually done its job, we would not have had to cut the jobs from the budget that effected our very own.  We live in a desert and this is not the first time that California has been confronted with extreme conditions. Now, all of the sudden, it is a priority to become a city of conservation and energy efficiency?! People - this should have happened a long time ago!  You should be angry! Good people lost their jobs because the people who run this city have been irresponsible. Unfortunately, I'm not sure anyone running for office this time around, incumbents included, are going to be any better at the job.  I will tell you that Councilwoman Wright was the only one who could offer any support regarding grants to get this city moving in the right direction. She was also the only one, aside from myself, who seemed extremely confused as to why these efforts had not previously been taken.
